Learn to Sing Better: Free Voice Lessons : Singing Tips & Techniques for Performing on Stage

Hey! I am Mark Black and welcome to expertvillage.com.
We are going to be talking about vocal performance. We are going to perform whether it’s just
rehearsal or by yourself or for something or it is an actual game. Basically you should
eat 2-3 hours before, soon enough that you are not close enough to the event that you
are not hungry, but not so far that you got a big stomach full of food in your tummy where
you are trying to support. Different people say that basically everybody… this is my
opinion that everyone has a personal body chemistry, you have things in your body that
you need to cause a lot of mucous in your throat. Take couple of things that people
say that you should not eat milk, nuts, chocolate, citrus products, which is lemon and lime,
cokes, carbonated beverages, may make you have phlegm in the throat, which may make
your voice break. You personally may not have problem with any of those, so it is not like
forbidden list. What I would do if I were you, if you are practicing regularly especially
what I would do is I would just go through the list of things that I would do, 3-4 practices
eat a can full of nuts and then “dude, like this is not the thing to do,” you know the
next thing is “I am going to drink some lemon juice and see what happens and none
of those things are really hurting me.” The point is discovering your own body chemistry
what gives you phlegm in you and what creates it and typical thing that people say is to
drink herbal teas, non-caffeinated teas and non-citrus juices like apple juice.

EATING!!!!! is also drinking fucken fools everything counts as eating we just say drink to seprate a distnace between them anything down ure throat is EATING

thats consuming. i think liquid and solid end up in different paths because it comes out of 2 different holes

well they both go directly to the stomach, They remain on the same path until the small intestine. The villi in the small intestine get as many nutrients from everything you ingested as they can practically. Your liquid waste travels through the excretory system while the solid waste is simply eliminated. The excretory system is designed to conserve as much water and nutrition in the body as possible. So the liquid waste is filtered through a number of times in the kidneys anyway no more room ๐Ÿ™

yea… i thought it was something like that, i knew it all goes to the stomach and that the liquid goes through the kidneys, and liver? what about the goldbladder or w/e

I havn't studied this stuff in forever mate, but the organ you mentioned is called the Gallbladder, it is simply for storage of bile which is used by the liver to digest fatty acids.

Sorry I accidently posted without finishing, anyway the liver is an organ which stores bile and glycogen, but it's best known function is the detoxification of the blood. Ingested Food/Liquids don't travel through the liver directly, but nutrients and other substances (potentially toxins) travel through the liver after being absorbed into the blood. Hope that helps ๐Ÿ™‚
